Job Title: Senior Automation Technician
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Senior Automation Technician understands the design and intent of mechanical equipment and systems (Chiller, Boiler, Custom AHU’s, Primary/Secondary pumping, Variable flow Chilled water plants, Clean Room Applications, Demand Response, and Energy solutions).
- Analyze systems and develop scope of work for controls implementation.
- Monitor, identify and diagnose potential problems using computer workstations and on-site observations.
- Interface with customers, engineers, and contractors to install and service building automation systems and project start-up and commissioning.

- Able to locate defective or non-operational components in new and existing systems, using test equipment and programming knowledge.
Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.
- 10+ years of field experience and 5 years of direct automation experience with control systems and programming required.
- Knowledge of DDC Control Theory, BACnet, LON, and Modbus
- Control systems product line knowledge with Siemens, JCI, Distech, Delta, Honeywell, Schneider, Johnson Controls, and Trane
- Ability to interface with customers at a supervisory and management level
- Experience with control system architecture design, programing or maintenance desired.
- Engineering skills required include electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with building control systems and automation, installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repairing management systems.
- Good computer skills and understanding of controls networking.
- A valid driver’s license.

Compensation Range: $55.28 - $60 per hour
