Deliver business value through Right and Fast partnership This position is part of the Corporate Indirect Procurement Operating Supplies Category Strategy Team (CST). This is a key global procurement role responsible for key Repair & Maintenance Services category strategies, execution and results to optimize total cost of ownership across all Strategic Business Groups (SBG’s).

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop robust commodity strategies for the Operating Supplier Category Strategy Team

and with consideration to quality, cost, speed and service requirements, market conditions,

risks and exposures, competitive landscape, and projected changes over the strategic

planning horizon, global industry trends, suppliers’ capabilities, and overall supply chain

expertise

  • Partner with Buying Operations Team and SBG cross-functional stakeholders to ensure

alignment and support of category strategy creation and execution. Facilitate engagement

across all SBG’s to drive a singular approach to supplier management in assigned

commodity space.

  • Consolidate fragmented global spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move

the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution in order to bring greater

value to Honeywell.

  • Execute the annual operating plan through year-over-year improvements in productivity,

working capital, quality, delivery and supply continuity.

  • Negotiate and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers capable of providing

solutions that meet established business requirements and follow the global commodity

strategies while maximizing benefit to Honeywell.

  • Build strong technical solutions including new technology, VA/VE, CE product and cost

improvements with supply base.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 4+ years of relevant strategic sourcing experience, to include at minimum, 4 years in an

indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation with global contracts.

  • In-depth experience in best-in-class procurement practices (category management,

benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.).

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.

  • Extensive knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the

function and purpose of key legal terms.

  • Strong experience assessing risk and concisely explaining complex issues to principal

business owners.

  • Extremely customer-focused and takes the time to understand the needs of the business.
  • Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization.

conclusions on large amounts of disparate data.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to direct a cross-functional team
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication,

organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
