Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Summary

Performs work of intermediate skill in the maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of all electronic and mechanical instruments, physical and dimensional measuring equipment, automatic control apparatus and systems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

DUTIES:

  • Inspect, adjust, calibrate, and repair as assigned all types of electronic equipment such as fuel controllers, analog and digital computer controls, inverters, analyzers, recorders, data loggers, communication equipment, monitors, instruments, apparatus control equipment and test equipment.
  • Inspect, adjust, calibrate and repair pressure gauges, torque wrenches, crimpers, micrometers and other similar mechanical measuring and test equipment.
  • Implement modifications to electronic circuits.
  • Collect, assemble and analyze data and prepare documentation, test results, reports, etc. of equipment worked on.
  • Learn the approved method of artificial respiration and the use and purpose of the Company's Tagging Rules.
  • Perform other similar or less skilled work of the Nuclear Services Department.
  • Assist Nuclear Services Department employees of higher classifications.
  • Operate Company passenger cars and pick-up trucks or equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must meet the Company's "General Requirements," and, in addition:

  • Must successfully complete Calibration Technician Intermediate (1572) Modular Training Course.
  • Must have two years' experience in the Instrumentation and Control Assistant classification or the equivalent.
  • Must be a careful and thorough worker and produce work of high quality.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the principles of electrical and electronic control instruments and control apparatus.
  • Must be able to analyze, understand and work from complex electrical schematic diagrams.

Calibration Technician Intermediate Modular Training
