Job Description:
Position Summary: The role is directly responsible for leading the scope definition, kickoff, design, construct, test, deploy and conclude stages of multiple medium to large scale healthcare information systems projects. Essential Duties: o Leads multiple IT&S projects with: o Complex objectives and activities o Teams comprised of 20 – 30+, matrixed, resources from multi-areas of an organization o Budgets in excess of $750K in capital dollars o Vendors providing services, applications, hardware, and other components • Manages and builds customers relationships at the Director, Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Senior Executive level. • Maintains updated knowledge of and uses different project management methodologies, tools, and approaches. • Maintains expertise in 2 - 3 project disciplines (e.g., process workflow documentation & redesign, system testing). • Leads vendors through contracting process and provides input to Senior Leadership on negotiation points. • Plans and scopes all project phases and components. • Prepares and delivers both written and oral presentations to provide overview of project status, issues and the like. • Coaches and mentors project team members and other project managers. Experience & Knowledge: • 7+ years IT project management experience required. • 3+ years experience working in healthcare environment preferred. • 3+ years managing enterprise projects in a healthcare environment preferred. • High standards of integrity, strong personal work ethic, creative problem solving skills, and flexible work approach required. • Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required. • Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required. • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge: • Skilled with Microsoft Project and suite of Microsoft Office tools (Power Point, Excel, Word) required. Education/Expertise: • Bachelor’s degree. • Master’s degree preferred. Credentials/Licensure or Certification: • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. • Clinical credentials, certifications, etc. (RN, BSN, LPN) preferred.
Temp to Hire; $45-$58/hour (44% mark-up) (conversion salary will not change from contract rate)
100% remote but local candidates required
Ideal candidate will be a driver, outgoing, take initiative, be organized, self-motivated: managing multiple projects, Book of Business, follow-up, documentation, own the project and follow the standards in place (PMI methodology), handle artifacts, meeting minutes, risks/issues, stage gates
