Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior DevOps Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our DevOps teams and implementing scalable, automated solutions for our applications, infrastructure, and testing. The candidate will work closely with software developers, system operators, quality engineers and other IT staff members to manage build & releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the deployment, scaling, and maintenance of company applications across various platforms.
  • Planning, managing, and controlling the continuous delivery processes
  • Supervising and guiding the DevOps team, ensuring they meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Collaborating with software engineers to improve application development processes
  • Implementing automated software deployment tools to streamline the development process
  • Ensuring the security, stability, and integrity of data and services through monitoring, troubleshooting, and system updates
  • Navigating architectural complexities across cloud-based, on-site, and hybrid solutions
  • Managing deployed DevOps Tools and Technologies.
  • Creating and maintaining suitable tracking dashboards and metrics to measure the performance of systems
  • Collaborating with other departments to understand their software needs and develop solutions
  • Staying current with industry trends and introducing new tools and technologies to the team to drive efficiency and performance
  • Regularly reviewing and optimizing the costs of cloud services and other operational expenses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of proven experience in a DevOps Role or similar software engineering role
  • 5+ Years of leadership experience managing technical teams and projects
  • Extensible knowledge in DevOps tools, technologies, and processes
  • Solid experience with cloud services (Azure & AWS) and understanding of scalable computing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and change management tools (CM), such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Hands-on experience with databases including Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Proficiency in various programming languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)
  • Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring
  • Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a team-focused approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex technical problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • DevOps certifications like Azure & AWS Certified DevOps Engineer would be a plus
  • Strong working experience in an Agile environment

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $150,000 to $200,000.
