Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Operations Leader (Small Scale Cell) to lead a team of 8-12 colleagues who facilitate the production of drug substances associated with ADCs, ensuring compliance with all safety, regulatory, and organizational standards in the Small Scale Cell (SSC) manufacturing facility.

The position is based on our site at Manorhamilton Road, Sligo and reports to the API Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage pharmaceutical processing activities to achieve operational goals.
• Lead, motivate, and direct the manufacturing team for efficient task execution.
• Plan resources to ensure the availability of personnel for safe operations.
• Coordinate team training and onboarding of new members.
• Monitor and report key performance metrics.
• Ensure accuracy in manufacturing control system updates.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality SOPs.
• Collaborate with shift leaders for effective interdepartmental activities.
• Develop team members through training and performance reviews.
• Support HR in employee relations management.
• Interact with internal and external customers.
• Maintain personnel records in the database.
• Assist in implementing SSC, API, and site strategies.
• Schedule human and material resources within budget constraints.
• Adhere to all EHS & E standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Qualification in Science or Engineering discipline /or equivalent
• 3 years of batch processing in FDA/HPRA-regulated industry.
• Previous experience of supervising/leading a team an advantage.
• Experience in automated environments
• Attention to detail and compliance with procedures
• Innovative problem-solving and adaptability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present technical data for decision-making
