Minimum Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant area and two (2) to five (5) years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.

Special Conditions
This is a Limited Position. Available for eleven (11) months and contingent upon funding availability.
The department is especially interested in candidates who are knowledgeable of degree requirements and courses in a higher Education setting.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Will need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule as recruitment events are scheduled.

Leads, organize, implement and manage recruitment and retention plans for the hospitality, sport and culinary programs both on and off campus.
Leads non-faculty related Kemmons Wilson School’s communications and marketing, enrollment management and recruitment and retention. Leads the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive student retention plan for the School of Hospitality and Resort Management.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as the point person for internal coordination of student recruitment and retention management goals utilizing specific knowledge gained of prospective student trends, admissions decisions, registration criteria, financial aid, academic performance, careers, scholarship information, and deadlines. Coordinates and schedules visits to middle schools, high schools, colleges, and key employer partners to speak and present to groups and individuals; builds connections with school counselors, administrators, and faculty members to promote outreach activities and recruitment of students for the program.

Coordinates student retention programs in partnership with senior leadership and other stakeholders. Monitors enrollment and retention trends. Provides analytical reports to include data relevant to student needs, retention, attrition, student success, persistence and graduation rates. Leads efforts to regularly bring together departments that work with students (Student Financial Services, Housing and Residence Life, Registrar and Student Life) to identify and track students at risk of attrition and develops interventions.

Collaborates closely with faculty and staff to identify and assess retention related issues and develop effective strategic retention plan to enhance student success. Explore ways in which retention practices and programs can be “built into” the institutional budget and organizational structure of the school. Works closely with academic advisors, faculty and others to closely monitor performance of at-risk students.

Develops and executes satellite campus’ first year experience program. Reconnects with withdrawn students who are eligible to return to the college and support student re-enrollment. Supports the development and marketing of dual enrollment programs and other bridge programs to increase enrollment. Maintains direct contact with Kemmons Wilson students to continuously develop action plans for student success. Builds rapport with students to identify barrier to student success. Provides outreach, referrals and intervention for hospitality and sport management student population.
