Job Details:

This position is responsible for leading and supporting production supervisors across all areas of operations. Key responsibilities include managing production paperwork, yields, time and attendance, team member motivation and discipline, turnover, absenteeism, safety, and problem-solving. This role is accountable for overall performance in safety, quality, workers’ compensation, staffing, internal movement, and team member morale. Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs.

Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of shipping experience required.
  • Tyson employment or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with processing floor operations and poultry processing is a plus.
  • Understanding of basic HACCP principles and experience with CCP (Critical Control Point) monitoring and verification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to navigate the production floor to perform audits and inspections, including climbing ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to tolerate working conditions with temperatures ranging from 28°F to 45°F.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer skills required.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and all levels of management.

Special Skills:

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to manage special projects as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all production operations within the facility.
  • Manage approximately 80 team members, including all production supervisors.
  • Responsible for department production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and participation in safety committees.
  • Provide performance reviews and development plans to address areas of improvement.

Travel:

  • Occasional travel may be required.
