Production Test Engineers (PTEs) are members of our manufacturing team who apply a variety of engineering and problem-solving skills to communicate, implement, maintain and optimize safe & effective production test environments and processes.

What You Will Do:

As a Sr. Production Test Engineer you’ll use data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies to maximize test yield, efficiency and value in order to influence test strategies, architectures, systems and transition to production. You’ll also validate and ensure compliance of the prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment.

As a Sr. Production Test Engineer your responsibilities may include:

  • Validating new or modified test equipment for production use
  • Ensuring the operation of test equipment and associated work instructions are accurate
  • Ensuring test equipment and software meet the test requirements specified for the product
  • Monitoring and improving the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure mode, and test yields
  • Performing preliminary investigation of problem resolution
  • Developing test flows and contributing to test capacity analysis
  • Maintaining changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals and system software
  • Assisting in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment
  • Participating in root cause and corrective action investigations
  • Providing technical training in both product and test equipment to production test specialists and metrology personnel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Clearance (ATF)

This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s Farmington, NM site.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
  • Experience in manufacturing, product and/or test environment
  • Experience with data analysis or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Experience with electronics/electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or computer programming

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop sustaining solutions to routine technical problems
  • Preferred college degrees: Preferred degrees: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics
  • Available to cover additional shifts including some weekend work

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
