Job Description

Due to the continuous growth of our company, we are looking to strengthen our capabilities in Railway Signalling Systems to support both current and future projects more efficiently. Therefore, we are seeking to hire a Railway Signalling Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the sector.

Your main role will be to participate in the design and definition of railway signalling systems across a wide range of projects, including high-speed lines, conventional lines, metro systems, and tramways. You will work on aspects related to functionality, architecture, and interfaces, becoming part of the Railway Systems team and contributing to the functional, conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases.

Here is what you will do:

  • Design of railway signalling and train protection systems based on ETCS/ERTMS and/or CBTC technologies.
  • Preparation of reports, technical specifications, schematics, and system interface documentation.
  • Definition of design criteria, system architecture, technical specifications, and budget estimates.
  • Verification of compliance with current railway regulations and standards.
  • Review of technical documentation.
  • Production of drawings and coordination of models in collaboration with drafting teams.
  • Participation in the definition of internal and external interfaces, in coordination with other disciplines.
  • Attendance at technical meetings and collaboration with multidisciplinary and international teams.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience with at least one train control technology: ERTMS/ETCS or CBTC.
  • Solid understanding of railway signalling principles: light signals, block systems, interlockings, etc.
  • Knowledge and application of Spanish and European railway regulations, including the Control, Command and Signalling TSI (CCS TSI).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or BIM environments will be valued

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, or Telecommunications Engineering.
