ROLE SUMMARY

The US RHU/GI business is one of critical importance to I&I and the future growth for Specialty Care. The RHU/GI brand portfolio includes Velsipity, Xeljanz, and biosimilars Inflectra and Abrilada which, in total, treat 200K patients suffering from rheumatological and gastro conditions. RHU/GI’s key growth brand, Velsipity, offers best-in-class safety and efficacy to patients with Moderate to Severe Ulcerative Colitis as the only commercialized oral 1L agent. Xeljanz has 5 indications across both Rheumatology and Gastroenterology, and is a significant revenue driver for I&I.

This role represents an opportunity to contribute to the success of our RHU/GI portfolio via close partnership with the HCP, Consumer, and TLE marketing leads, IIS and our critical XF stakeholders. This individual will lead a team of 5 brand access marketers to ensure high performing formulary pull-through efforts and a seamless post-Rx journey for our brands through personal and non-personal promotion, CFC engagement and training, hub and SPP strategy optimization, and managing executional efforts. This role is a member of the franchise and brand leadership teams and is responsible for senior leadership engagement on brand strategy and performance.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and coordinate the development of both the short-term and long-term Market Access strategy for the RHU/GI franchise that aligns across all key stakeholders. Ensure cross-portfolio considerations are incorporated to optimize performance across RHU/GI
  • Manage and oversee relevant brand business issues requiring coordination across the functions of Payer Marketing, SAS, Channel Management, Global Health and Social Impact, Field Sales, Patient Solutions, TLE, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Medical, and other departments and external partners.
  • Ensure the right level of resourcing to support access efforts for all brands within the RHU/GI franchise.
  • Inspire a culture of joy and collaboration in leading a team of Brand Access Marketers responsible for supporting Velsipity, Xeljanz, and our biosimilars portfolio
  • Align stakeholders on key Market Access and performance metrics.
  • Drive pull-through efforts to ensure immediate capitalization of formulary wins.
  • Work closely with RHU/GI Leadership, USMA and finance colleagues to evaluate payer contracting opportunities.
  • Continuously assess payer contract adoption risk and rebate impact to mitigate effects on brand gross-to-net revenue.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous brand marketing experience required
  • Previous access experience preferred
  • Extensive cross-functional leadership experience required
  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Ability to understand customer and customer-facing-colleague needs and translate these into meaningful strategies and tactics
  • Fluency with patient journey data, payer performance data, and pull-through KPIs
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership
  • Demonstrated success in navigating complex projects and influencing internal and external business partners to deliver results
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation are essential
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $182,000.00 to $303,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
