JOB SUMMARY

As a FLEX Manager, Senior Designer - Partner Content Studio, you will play an essential role in the hands-on development and execution of creative assets that support Marriott’s partners. You will be responsible for bringing ideas to life across a range of formats, ensuring all assets uphold both Marriott’s brand standards and partner requirements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams, work with external creative agencies, and interface with partners to support creative development and project needs.

This position requires a highly conceptual thinker with strong design and storytelling skills. As part of Riott Haus Creative, Marriott’s in-house creative agency, you will contribute to integrated work across art, copy, video, and design, delivering work that exceeds partner expectations. You should have the technical skills needed to develop and refine assets, ensuring all materials align with brand, partner, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, nimble environment and is adept at producing high-quality creative under tight deadlines. They are a strong team player with exceptional cross-functional communication skills. Entrepreneurial spirit is essential, as this role will be one of the founding members of the Partner Content Studio team.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience Required

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Graphic Design, Art Advertising, Product Design, Advertising, or related field.
  • 3+ years of art direction and design demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Experience collaborating with internal creative teams and external partners.
  • Portfolio of previous brand creative work which can be shared and reviewed as part of hiring process.
  • Creative agency or publisher creative experience.
  • Strong understanding of the agency process, including scope of work development.
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing plans and creative asset briefs.
  • Familiarity with advertising channels and how creative supports campaign performance.
  • Must be an expert in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Demonstrated experience with digital marketing and advertising design execution.
  • In-depth and current understanding of design trends and industry best practices.
  • Experience managing multiple creative projects and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity, ambiguity, and tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to triage needs across multiple stakeholders.

Education and Experience Preferred

  • Background in digital media / advertising or other digital business.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Primary Activities

  • Support the end-to-end execution of creative projects, including planning, production, feedback cycles, approval, and delivery.
  • Review briefs and drive creative development that aligns with brand and partner goals.
  • Ensure that quality is of the highest standards and in line with Marriott's brand standards.
  • Work closely with the Associate Creative Director and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and on brief.
  • Collaborate with external agency partners and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality assets.
  • Maintain project timelines and ensure timely delivery of creative assets.
  • Organize and leverage all creative assets and inventory.
  • Provide hands-on design and creative support.
  • Follow and apply established creative guidelines, templates, and standards.
  • Work closely with the team to develop effective, impactful ideas based on tactical plans.
  • Support the visual development of digital marketing and advertising campaigns in line with brand strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with Advertising Operations and Product & Tech teams to ensure asset suitability and functionality.
  • Participate in refining creative processes by providing feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Maintaining Goals

  • Submit work and progress updates in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
  • Promote the documenting of project progress accurately.
  • Provide input and assistance to other teams regarding projects.

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies

  • Manage and implement work and projects as assigned.
  • Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and detailed status reports as requested.

Demonstrating and Applying Discipline Knowledge

  • Provide technical expertise and support to persons inside and outside of the department.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of function-specific procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to job.

Managing Responsibilities with Stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the organization.
  • Update stakeholders on key initiative wins and opportunities, respond to concerns, and solicit feedback. Engage leadership to develop and execute action plans to address gaps

The pay range for this position is $49.42 to $61.78 per hour.
