JOB SUMMARY

The Director is a leader within the Global Consulting organization, primarily supporting enterprise initiatives tied to Marriott’s strategy map. This Director will play an important role providing strategic program management and strategy support to key leaders within the Digital organization, overseeing and directing a critical next gen guest room entertainment project in collaboration with cross-functional Technology, Discipline, and Continent teams.

Success in this role requires strong critical thinking skills, a proven ability to manage multiple business and technology workstreams simultaneously, and the aptitude to pivot and adapt in a fast-paced environment. The ability to manage complex stakeholder interactions, influence top leaders, and work collaboratively across Digital teams to drive results is also essential.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • 6+ years of program management or consulting experience, demonstrating progressive career growth
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major
  • Proven track record leading the planning and execution of strategic projects and initiatives – working closely with leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with and influencing cross-functional work teams in a matrix organization
  • Knowledge and comfortability with Agile product management methodologies

Preferred

  • Experience in the hospitality or broadcast media sectors
  • Any IPTV, IoT, digital signage, or OTT services experience a plus

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Provides day-to-day program leadership to ensure projects achieve objectives, are delivered on time / on budget and gain stakeholder satisfaction through project delivery and business results. Advises leaders on strategy formulation efforts when applicable, including conducting necessary research, analysis and development of data-driven recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Mitigation: Lead a pod-based team of cross-discipline business and technology stakeholders with a strong understanding of both groups and the work they do. Build strong relationships and trust to infuse engagement and collaboration across the team. Identify and mitigate risks by becoming a trusted advisor, developing comprehensive strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Strategic Discovery Support: Partner with project leadership on solution and technology strategy. Conduct discovery research to support strategy: gather insights, identify potential strategic product orientations, and synthesize learnings for evaluation.
  • Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and facilitate complex stakeholder interactions, including cross-discipline forums and processes, to gain buy-in from leaders on critical business decisions. Creates high-impact deliverables for Senior Leadership consumption.

Flexible Resource Deployment: As part of a flexible pool of resources, rotate to various priority projects as needed, adapting quickly to new challenges and environments.

The pay range for this position is $60.38 to $85.05 per hour.
