About the Role** Uber is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead critical partnership initiatives across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). In this high-impact role, you will shape and execute our business development strategy across both of Uber’s Mobility and Delivery business units, building partnerships that drive customer and supply growth, operational efficiency, and long-term value. As a key member of the APAC BD team, you will independently lead cross-functional initiatives, own external relationships, and work closely with global and regional stakeholders to bring trajectory-bending deals to life. This is an individual contributor role suited for a seasoned dealmaker ready to drive regional strategy through partnership. **What You'll Do** 1. Own and lead strategic partnerships across ANZ that support Uber’s growth and innovation across both of Uber’s Mobility and Delivery business units. 2. Identify, evaluate, and execute high-impact partnerships - from business case development through negotiation and implementation. 3. Track and manage partnership performance, optimising for both strategic and commercial outcomes over time. 4. Build and maintain relationships with senior-level external stakeholders. 5. Partner closely with Product, Ops, Legal, Marketing, Policy, Finance, and Engineering to align deals with Uber’s global and regional goals. 6. Represent Uber externally with professionalism and credibility, driving senior conversations and forging long-term collaborations. 7. Structure and analyse complex deal frameworks using data, financial modeling, and commercial intuition to ensure value creation for both Uber and our partners. 8. Contribute to broader ANZ and APAC BD priorities, participating in cross-market initiatives, strategic planning, and knowledge-sharing. **Basic Qualfications** 1. 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial strategy roles. 2. Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to independently structure and execute complex partnership strategies end to end, delivering clear and measurable value. 3. Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data to inform decisions, build compelling business cases and spot trends. 4. Comfort operating in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with shifting priorities. 5. Confident communicator with clear, concise, and persuasive written and verbal skills. 6. Experience working in or with the ANZ region and understanding of its market dynamics. 7. A collaborative mindset and ability to build trust and momentum across internal teams. 8. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally at all levels of an organisation, from field teams to executives. **Preferred Qualifications** 1. 7+ years of directly relevant strategic partnership experience, ideally spanning high-growth tech and corporate partnerships. 2. Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity with ease. 3. Experience working with large, complex partners and applying a partner-centric approach to strategy and execution. 4. Proven success establishing, managing, and leveraging C-level relationships with strategic partners. 5. Strong, established network with ANZ’s largest organisations across key sectors. 6. Exceptional ability to fuse business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts in high-stakes negotiations. 7. Deep product instincts and ability to identify integration opportunities that benefit both parties.
