The Advanced Transportation Operations Optimization Department (P222) in the Center for Integrated Transportation is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented candidate to join our team as a Business Intellgence Analyst, Associate.

Roles & Responsibilities:

This role is critical to ensuring the quality, clarity, and impact of proposals and deliverables while driving operational excellence and contributing to strategic initiatives and business development. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to synthesize information from subject matter experts (SMEs), manage the deliverable development and review process, and support project and proposal work with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Technical Contributions:
  • Work closely with SMEs to gather, synthesize, and present complex information in a clear and actionable format.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical experts and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
  • Actively contribute to direct project work by providing insights, recommendations, and informing high-quality deliverables.
• Business Operations:
• Coordinate resources and timelines to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
• Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness across projects, teams and proposals.
• Business Development:
• Support the development of proposals, white papers, presentations, and other business development materials that effectively communicate value propositions.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
• Deliverable Quality and Readability
• Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of quality, readability, and alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
• Review and edit deliverables for clarity, consistency, and professionalism, ensuring they are tailored to the target audience.
• Develop templates, guidelines, and best practices to streamline the creation of high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables while maintaining quality standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a related Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• 1+ years’ experience in technical writing and editing in an aviation/aerospace environment
• Experience collaborating with aviation SMEs to develop technical documents
• Demonstrated skill in editing highly technical documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility for diverse audiences, including non-technical readers.
• Strong expertise in simplifying complex aviation/aerospace concepts without compromising technical integrity, ensuring content is both precise and comprehensible.
• 1+ years’ experience in proposal writing and development
• 1+ years’ experience supporting a large, dynamic and fast-paced team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft SharePoint.
• This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with aviation/aerospace industry-specific terminology and the ability to translate jargon into clear, concise explanations.
• Proven capacity to ask insightful questions and conduct supplemental research to bridge knowledge gaps and enhance understanding of unfamiliar topics.
• Self-motivated and adaptable learner with a proven track record of acquiring knowledge in new and unfamiliar domains.
