WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Following successful programming and several test series conducted on the weighing system, the developed process is to be further expanded.

The primary goal of this thesis is the optimization of the weighing process. This results in the following tasks:

  • You will optimize the process of opening and closing the sample containers.
  • Moreover, you will implement automatic recognition of containers and their parameters, and develop a safety concept for use under a laboratory fume hood.
  • You will also integrate the weighing automation into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Last but not least, you will work on optimizing the sample scanner and expanding the container rack positions.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • enrolled student in the field of Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
  • knowledge of programming languages (preferably Python and SQL)
  • interest in automation systems and robotics
