A Typical Day

The FVP, Product Manager is adept at translating complex business needs into detailed technical requirements, understanding system architecture, data flows, and integration points, and acting as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams. This role is responsible for defining what we build and why, ensuring our technical products are robust, scalable, secure, and effectively enable our business objectives and customer experiences. The FVP, Product Manager will guide, mentor, and empower your team of Product Owners to achieve their product goals.

The FVP, Product Manager will:

  • Lead, manage, coach, and mentor a team of Product Owners. Foster their professional growth, set clear performance expectations, and cultivate a collaborative, high-performing product culture within your group
  • Define, articulate, and champion a clear, overarching vision and strategy for your collective technical product domain, ensuring alignment with company goals. Guide your Product Owners in developing individual product strategies and roadmaps that contribute to this larger vision
  • Oversee the development and aggregation of roadmaps across your teams. Drive strategic prioritization at a group level, managing dependencies and making complex trade-off decisions that impact multiple product areas
  • Provide expert technical guidance to your POs and act as an escalation point for complex technical product decisions. Ensure deep understanding of underlying systems, data, and architecture informs requirements
  • Represent your teams' work and strategy, translating complex technical concepts effectively. Ensure seamless collaboration between your POs, their engineering teams, and other dependent groups
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle across your teams' products, ensuring best practices are followed from ideation through launch and iteration, with a focus on technical execution, quality, and consistency
  • Engage with and influence senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization. Effectively communicate the collective vision, progress, risks, and strategic direction of your product portfolio

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product management, business systems analysis, or technical program management, with significant focus on highly technical products (e.g., platforms, APIs, infrastructure, complex backend systems)
  • Proven experience (e.g., 3-5+ years) directly managing, coaching, and developing a team of Product Managers or Product Owners
  • Demonstrable ability to not only perform but also lead and standardize the elicitation, analysis, specification, and validation of complex technical requirements across multiple teams
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, system architecture, databases, API design, cloud technologies, and integration patterns. Ability to guide technical discussions and decisions
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels, including senior executives
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams of product professionals in a complex, fast-paced environment

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

Salary

$140,000 - $175,000
