These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Your versatile knowledge will allow you to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency and achieving their strategic objectives.

PwC is looking for a SAP Source to Pay Consultant to join our Cloud & Digital practice on a Fixed Term Contract basis. The SAP Source to Pay Consultant is client-facing and will act as the bridge between the client owning the requirements, and the relevant SAP software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong SAP technical background and 8+ years proven experience in SAP Source to Pay technology enabled business transformation projects and programmes.

Qualifications / Certifications required:

Bachelor equivalent: minimum requirement

8+ years of solution specialist (or equivalent customer facing) experience; consulting experience beneficial

A thorough understanding of the full software development lifecycle is required.

Cloud experience recommended

SAP Certification required, preferably SAP S/4HANA MM

Experience required:

8+ years of SAP Source to Pay implementation and/or solution design experience

Demonstrate understanding of end-to-end business processes

Ability to lead engagements with clients and assist in fostering a clear SAP S/4HANA roadmap

Technology consulting expertise, and ability to drive workshops and conduct training sessions.

Proven experience in SAP Source to Pay business processes

Cross-functional experience of SAP Materials Management (MM) is recommended

Experience and extensive knowledge of SAP systems, including SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform

Functional/technical proficiency with at least 4 full lifecycle SAP implementations

Experience and knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades

Successful candidates must demonstrate experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide SAP transformation that delivered proven business value

Previous experience in a consulting environment is beneficial

Experience in Agile delivery in SAP projects

Responsibilities of role:

• The SAP Source to Pay Consultant must effectively support the operations of a client and help achieve its business objectives
• Requirement Analysis: Work with clients e.g. fit/gap analysis workshops to understand their financial processes and requirements, and translate them into SAP solutions
• System Configuration: Direct configuration of SAP Materials Management (MM) to meet business needs
• Solution Design: Design and implement SAP MM solutions that optimise business processes and ensure compliance with relevant policies
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP MM with other modules
• Data Migration: Plan and execute data migration activities, ensuring accurate transfer of sales and procurement data from legacy systems to SAP where required
• Testing: Provide input into the development and execution of test plans to validate the functionality and performance of SAP MM solutions
• Documentation: Develop detailed documentation such as functional specifications, user manuals, and training materials where required
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively use the SAP MM system where required
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to SAP MM modules, providing timely support to clients

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest SAP features and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing SAP MM solutions.

Skill sets required:

• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of SAP Source to Pay solutions and integration with SAP MM
• Data Integration: Experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques
• Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders. Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within PwC on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor teams, providing technical guidance and support
• Adaptability: Willingness to stay updated with the latest data technologies and adapt to new challenges.

Role related attributes:

• Industry experience required:
