Job Description
- Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation and presentation of dishes in the assigned section
- Ensure all mise en place is completed on time and to a high standard
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards strictly
- Support the kitchen team during service to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to senior chefs
- Contribute to the development of new dishes and menu items when required
- Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation
- Adhere to company policies, kitchen procedures, and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen
- Culinary diploma or relevant vocational training (preferred)
- Good knowledge of basic cooking methods and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexibility with work schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards
