Title: HR Generalist

Pay: $75,000–$85,000 dependent on experience

About the Role:

We’re hiring an HR Generalist to join a growing food manufacturing company in Newburyport, MA. This role is on-site and works closely with plant leadership and production teams. The ideal candidate will bring 4–5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR guidance to plant leadership on workforce strategies and employee relations
  • Handle employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance issues
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for hourly roles
  • Serve as a point of contact for all HR-related inquiries
  • Maintain employee records and compliance documentation
  • Support open enrollment and assist with benefits-related questions on-site
  • Take on additional HR projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4–5 years in HR, Recruiting, or Employee Relations
  • Industry Background: Manufacturing required; food manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Software: Microsoft Office, HRIS (UKG preferred), ATS experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (strongly preferred; conversational okay)
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with unionized environments
  • Background in LOA, employee relations, and compliance
  • Prior exposure to UKG or Kronos is a plus
