The Job:

As a Director, Product Management, you’ll be part of our Tools and Outdoor team working as a hybrid employee. The Director of Concrete and Drywall Product Management will be responsible for aligning product strategy with business goals. This role will lead our PM team that develops products that directly impact Professional construction trade contractors. - Be our most vocal and empathetic customer advocate.

  • Partner well with key Sales, Channel, Category Management, Brand, Operations, and other cross-functional teams in an effort to develop partnerships and collaborate with business stakeholders for successful strategy, execution, and communication. This position reports into the VP, Product Management - General & Commercial Construction.

  • Driving the product vision for these critical portfolios and user workflows.
  • Creating the product strategy to innovate and energize our product-led organization.
  • As the Director of Product Management, you are responsible for setting and owning the product vision and strategy, creating a long-term strategic vision to WIN THE TRADES!! This will be highly collaborative with partnerships between functions, leaders and your direct team.
  • As the product strategy and vision become more tactical, the Director will drive the user feedback into a clear and translated product roadmap that will align to defined growth plans. Here, the candidate will be responsible for helping the team create the roadmap and release plans from the vision and strategy, translating them into actionable items. Project scoping and clear prioritization activities based on business and customer impact will be critical to success.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience, drive growth and market share. Setup advisory boards, user groups facilitate insight gathering, etc.
  • Respect and value other’s differences…seek opportunities to learn from those with different perspectives and understand how issues and solutions will impact other areas of the company
  • Communicate the product strategy and progress within and across the company
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, and meet difficult deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required. Experience in problem solving and creative thinking
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and in a variety of cultures – both internal and external.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling product teams. Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in creation and execution
  • High energy, out-going, and goal-oriented eager to meet and exceed goals and targets
  • Self-starter with ability to manage own schedule while driving team initiatives

The Person:

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience in a Trades Based Industry
  • 4+ years of successfully commercializing and deploying effective go to market strategies for driving core and new product categories
  • Bachelor’s degree required. An MBA or a graduate degree preferred
  • 6+ years of leadership experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership, including hiring and developing senior managers and individual contributors
  • Understanding or experience with Power Tools, User Applications, with a history of developing solutions to key user Pain points.
  • Ability to analyze vast amounts of information to understand complex enterprise problems
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Experience delivering and executing innovative solutions to the market

Travel Expectations: Up to 25% of time traveling

Hybrid Position: In office 3 days a week

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is 113,100.00 - 226,200.00 USD Annual per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
