Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Events Set-Ups and Support Lead is responsible for the planning, set-up and coordination of events held at the West Hills campus.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and track Facility Use Requests as received from the on-line system.
- Maintains one-week and three-month boards, and Facilities Use Request logbook.
- Responsible for inquiring as to the specific requirements of each event and coordinating directly with the requesting person/s to ensure a successful outcome.
- Responsible for the daily set-up and take-down of tables and chairs to accommodate daily use of space activities in the cafeteria, and other meeting spaces as needed
- Responsible for the coordination of the Physical Plant staff supporting events
- Responsible for the setup and operation of the required sound systems during events.
- Responsible for tracking inventory, and ensuring the good working order of assigned audio equipment
- Responsible for coordinating and managing on-and-off-campus parking during events.
- Responsible for the rental, scheduling, and coordination of shuttle buses for on-and-off campus activities for all programs/departments other than athletics.
- Responsible for requesting janitorial support staff for events occurring outside the normal janitorial service hours.
- Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of miscellaneous events-related equipment (e.g.: tables, chairs, canopies, floor liners etc.)
- Responsible for requesting and coordinating security coverage for special events.
- Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment necessary to complete set-ups and successfully support events.
- Responsible for the supply and distribution of copy paper to all departments as requested.
- Responsible for the inventory and distribution of classroom furniture as requested.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, and ability to prioritize and coordinate with Physical Plant staff assigned to support events
- Performs other assigned duties as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Five years (5) of experience in set-ups and event coordination, and three (3) years of experience working in a school environment preferred
- Must have working knowledge in the use and set-up of PA audio equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 Lbs. and have the physical ability to move, and set-up stage platforms, tables and chairs as needed
- Must be able to use hand and power tools in the performance of equipment maintenance and other assigned duties
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid unrestricted California
Salary and Benefits
- This is a full-time, 12 month per year, hourly position. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
