Job Title:

Advanced Engineer - Process Technology

Summary:

Lead process development and scale up of silicone-based material for Electronic Material and Personal Care from laboratory via pilot to production scale under consideration of sustainability, safety, quality, process robustness, yields and overall cost. Has basic knowledge in specific technical areas and independently executes focused projects. Communicates effectively with functional unit/area & project teams to review project status and program deliverables with stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

• Comply with site-specific EHS procedures and promote a strong safety culture by integrating a safety mind-set into day-to-day responsibilities.
• Independently plan, lead, and execute multiple analytical cases of substantial technical and business impact.
• Develop, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods using advanced techniques (e.g., NMR, HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis and FTIR).
• Maintain a strong understanding of business R&D and Application Development Engineer’s requirements and deliver creative analytical solutions.
• Translate complex analytical technical concepts for non-technical or cross-functional audiences.
• Communicate program deliverables and progress to cross-functional stakeholders, including global technology teams and business leadership.
• Apply state-of-the-art technologies to meet complex analytical challenges and explore new establishment capabilities based on business needs.
• Mentor and train junior scientists and technicians; share expertise across multiple projects and technical domains.
• Build a global network of experts within GAPT.
• Maintain clear, concise, and scientifically sound documentation in accordance with quality and regulatory standard
• Seeks opportunities to participate in scientific organizations / societies / associations to enhance both career and the company’s brand.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

• Technical PhD with job exp (1-3 years). Or M.S./M Tech with research/work experience (general guidelines: 3-5 years).
• Sufficient technical knowledge in analytical skills, compounding or emulsification process technology.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of EHS standards and Project Management.
• Proven record of managing projects and working in matrix environment with sound technical acumen.
• Ability to Independently executes focused projects with occasional guidance and handle multiple projects.
• Data analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving and statistics.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in and Chinese and English.
