Make your mark for patients

We are looking for a Global Category Lead - Engineering & Infrastructure who is strategic, collaborative and a leader to join our Procurement Department, based in our UCB campus located in Braine-l'alleud, Belgium.

About the role

You will take ownership of our Global Equipment Technologies (Production and process equipment) category. In this strategic Director role, you will challenge the status quo, drive innovation, lead strategic transformation, and shape the future of how equipment accelerates our global operations growth.

Who you’ll work with

You will report to the Head of Procurement Engineering & Infrastructure and be a pivotal senior business partner for executive leaders in Operation, Global Engineering, Global Quality, Finance, Legal and Sustainability. Additionally you will play a critical role in ensuring the patient supply continuity in an ever more VUCA environment and in supporting UCB assets strategy.

What you’ll do

• Develop procurement strategies for manufacturing portfolio and supplier network alignment.
• Partner with stakeholders to redefine supplier relationships and business impact.
• Provide trends, innovations, and supply market dynamics to business.
• Lead sourcing initiatives improving resilience, service, and cost savings.
• Drive commercial excellence through negotiations and master agreement development.
• Build vendor partnerships for quality, innovation, and supply resilience.
• Leverage partnerships to influence trends and support business growth.
• Lead category managers to deliver procurement goals and strategy.
• Influence decisions to embed strategic procurement across the organization.
• Model ethical behavior aligned with UCB’s values and compliance standards.

• 15+ Years Experience in procurement.
• Master’s degree or above in related field.
• Strategic project management experience.
• Ability to build and lead a team.
• Commercial excellence.
