The Caribbean Region is seeking an Operations Analyst (OA) to support the implementation of the IFC country strategy, business development, and transaction processing in the Dominican Republic (DR). The OA will work across different IFC sectors with regional, industry and World Bank teams to support the design, negotiation, structuring, and supervision of projects. The position will be based in Santo Domingo.
Duties and Accountabilities
Strategy
- Support the updating of the IFC strategy in the DR.
- Contribute to WBG strategy documents.
Business development and transaction processing
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the economic, political and business environment in the DR and monitor sectoral and financial market developments.
- Work with investment, advisory, upstream, and relevant WBG teams to roll out the IFC strategy and develop a strong project pipeline.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships to support business development, processing and portfolio management.
- Support investment teams on project design, structuring, and processing, as needed.
- Support missions/trips in the region.
- In the context of growing the business, help prepare high-quality briefs and presentations for WBG senior management.
- Monitor and update the project pipeline.
Portfolio management
- Develop a good understanding of the portfolio, assist with resolving issues, and contribute to maintaining good relationships with existing clients.
