About You
The Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor plays a key role in delivering strategic recruitment outcomes across RMIT’s Academic Colleges and non-Academic portfolios. With a primary focus on the Operations, Research & Innovation, and Education portfolios, this role leads the end-to-end recruitment process—ensuring the attraction, engagement, and placement of high-caliber talent.
You will work closely with hiring managers and HR partners to understand workforce needs, develop tailored sourcing strategies, and provide expert guidance throughout the recruitment lifecycle. This includes presenting well-qualified shortlists, supporting selection processes, and managing offers in alignment with RMIT’s policies.
A strong focus on proactive recruitment is essential, including building and maintaining talent pipelines for future needs. You’ll also contribute valuable market insights and competitor intelligence to inform strategic workforce planning. Representing RMIT at industry events and promoting its employment brand will be a key part of your role, along with supporting People initiatives.
Success in this role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to influence and advise on complex recruitment matters in a dynamic and evolving environment.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders and HR partners across academic and non-academic portfolios, ensuring recruitment services align with business needs.
The ability to provide market insights and competitor intelligence to inform recruitment strategies and workforce planning.
Experience driving proactive recruitment activities, including building talent pools and developing strategic sourcing plans.
Proficiency in managing the full recruitment lifecycle—from shortlisting and selection support to offer negotiation—aligned with RMIT policies.
Confidence in using recruitment systems (ATS), engaging agency partners, and delivering a consistent, high-quality candidate and stakeholder experience.
A proactive approach to promoting RMIT’s employment brand through networking and industry engagement.
Strong communication and advisory skills, with the ability to present complex issues persuasively and influence outcomes.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
