Position Summary
This position acts as the coordinator and lead for their area. They will be responsible for continuous improvement, problem-solving, and ensuring excellence in production and quality for their area.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing employee coaching and development while driving employee engagement in your area
- Be an advocate for proactive safety and safety procedures, while ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all equipment and use of required Personal Protective Equipment in the area of responsibility
- Make appropriate work assignments through manpower scheduling, overtime coordination, and vacation sign up, etc.
- Assist in the continuous improvement effort by driving and coaching our teams in Safety, Quality, Cost & Delivery along with other Lean initiatives such as quick change-overs and problem-solving
- Challenge our teams to meet all metric standards and goals
- Engage in honest, open and factual communications in a professional manner
- Demonstrate alignment with Samsung’s values and philosophies
- All other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 8 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- The ability to stand up for 8 - 10 hours a day required
- Overtime opportunities possible
- All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.
- The ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
- Must be age 18 or older
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in standard office software including MS Office
- Knowledge of basic shop math and able to read technical instructions
- Must demonstrate strong problem-solving ability
- Capability to learn new specific software and system
