This Technician II position is part of the Commercial and Regulated Products value stream - Main Production team located in Coralville, IA and all work is performed on-site. Shift: Weekend Days; Friday-Sunday, 7:00am - 7:30pm

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Synthesize oligos on various synthesizer platforms. Cleave and deprotects oligos utilizing appropriate methods
  • Quantify and samples oligos for quality control tests. Adhere to safety regulations, lab SOPs, and contamination controls. Use custom software packages to complete tasks and create final product.
  • Assess QC data accurately and makes pass/fail decisions for oligos. Handle expensive oligos and reagents.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 12 months IDT lab experience and proficient in two production functions.
  • Understanding the full value stream.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Associate degree
  • Using continuous improvement tools.
  • Extensive computer skills which include knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
