Your day to day

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary operations for our trendy and award winning Asian-Fusion Stage22 Bar & Restaurant.

You must have Asian cooking skills, the ability to handle high volume service, and previous experience leading a team. We are looking for someone innovative, who wants to develop further, and grow with our team and the business.

You will be responsible for the menus & culinary operations of the venue of the restaurant and bar, as well as events.

What You'll Do

Run the pass during busy service times to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of dishes to surpass guest expectations

Menu planning, inventory management and food preparation

Food preparation

Assist with organizing special events and special food promotions.

Participate in the drafting of concept ideas and menus for all special events and functions while encouraging all staff to put forward their ideas and utilizing them wherever practical.

Participate and supervise the kitchen in the preparation and presentation of all food items in accordance with the hotels food and beverage standards and standardized menu guidelines.

Provide guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment

Create and manage staff rosters

Maintain comprehensive product knowledge including ingredients, equipment, suppliers, markets, and current trends and make recommendations for appropriate adjustments to kitchen operations accordingly.

Manage food safety and ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards

What You'll Need

Previous experience working as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment

  • Ability to lead effective teams and build a positive culture
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets
  • Trade Cooking qualifications, Asian cooking skills and experience are preferred
  • The desire to be part of a fun, productive and professional team

Main requirements:

  • Asian and south east Asian cooking skills and or expert knowledge of many different cuisines, using highly skilled preparation and cooking techniques
  • Deep understanding of all dietary requirements, creative in all aspects of menu planning and open minded and adaptable to constant change
  • Previous experience as a senior chef or Head Chef in a hotel or high volume awarded restaurant
  • HACCP certified
  • Strong organizational and leaderships skills with the ability to train junior staff and maintain high levels of attention to detail, punctuality and communication by showing an approachable attitude of continued betterment.
  • Ability to work and communicate to multinational environment
  • EU working visa
  • English language, oral and written
  • Desire to set and achieve goals
  • High sense of responsibility, focusing and accuracy
  • Positive and active attitude, energy and enthusiasm
  • Leadership skills and team player
