The Position:

Lumine Group is looking for a Portfolio Director IT & Data Security (ITDS). The role will be based in Toronto and reports to the VP ITDS.

The objectives of the Portfolio Director IT & Data Security (ITDS) are:

Provide direction to Group-level ITDS leaders on programs including, but not limited to, the rollout of mandatory capabilities & systems, matters of compliance to policies, periodic risk assessments, and to disseminate portfolio level best practices to group business units. Assist Group ITDS leaders in executing playbooks when onboarding newly acquired businesses. Taking an active role in the portfolio ITDS steering committee and technology review boards. To work with the portfolio VP ITDS on the continued development of the ITDS strategy, to identify and assess technology proposals, and to plan new solution deployments to support enhanced employee productivity, while reducing overall technology costs and related risks.

Strong business acumen is required in addition to a proven track record as a senior IT and Data Security (ITDS) professional.

Responsibilities

GROUP IT & Data Security

  • To work with the Portfolio & Group ITDS leadership to develop a strategy that allows the group to scale in an autonomous manner whilst ensuring it complies with Lumine data security governance framework and standards.
  • Assist newly acquired BU’s in efficient, technology deployment programs (e.g. CrowdStrike) and thereafter to continue to track deployment compliance.
  • To assist Group ITDS leaders interpret BU risk self-assessments, ensuring security concerns are documented in the risk registry (6clicks) and mitigation activities are tracked to closure.
  • To continue to develop and support reporting mechanisms for how Lumine Group tracks power consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions (MTCO2e), by BU, on a semi-annual basis.
  • Support Group ITDS leaders with technology acquisition projects, including the coordination of external assistance, vendor selection and management, and potentially negotiating group-wide cost savings for SaaS & other services.
  • Track and manage IT capacity, availability, performance and data integrity for Lumine portfolio.
  • Review, contribute & evolve the ITDS Playbooks, including best practice guidelines and training materials.
  • Undertake special projects and analysis as required by the portfolio leadership team.

ACQUISITION IT & Data Security

ITDS Due Diligence Program Management:

  • Assist in the completion of due diligence for all ITDS related matters, including ‘situation assessments’ of architecture (including corporate IT, software development, product support), vendor contracts, policy controls, and asset management.
  • Identify and propose solutions to technology issues and risk discovered during due diligence.
  • Assist Legal and M&A teams in drafting transitional services agreements used to support BU onboarding.
  • Continually support the evolution of the ITDS Integration Plan.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of IT of Data Security experience.
  • Experience of evaluation, selection, and implementation and integration of IT systems.
  • Strong project management skills coordinating multiple, concurrent, complex and high priority projects, with many internal and external dependencies.
  • Cloud vendor management experience (Azure/AWS) experience would be preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of Identity & Access Management, including MS-Active Directory & Azure AD.
  • Track record of solving large, complex problems and producing measurable results.
  • Can build strong working relationships with business and ITDS partners while fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make decisions while building trust across throughout the Lumine Group ITDS organization.
  • Can advise BU technology leaders on mandatory security tools and deployment technologies.
  • Familiarity with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tools (e.g. 6Clicks)
  • ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and auditing compliance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain objective while working with sensitive data & materials.
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use the full capabilities of Excel, PowerBI, Copilot, for the purpose of data collection/analysis.
  • Must be willing to travel internationally as required.
