Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$79,400.00 - $130,900.00

What Is the Opportunity?

The Team Lead, Critical Facilities (CF) will work closely with the Manager, Critical Facilities for the direct oversight and management of 24/7 shift operations, maintenance, construction, repair and emergency response for critical and site mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. This position is based full time in our [insert location] office.

What Will You Do?

  • Leads maintenance during shift and monitors performance of assigned responsibilities.
  • Performs and/or directs the performance of all maintenance departmental service requests, ensuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience and is also followed up with adequate clean up.
  • Checks malfunctioning equipment and ascertains corrective action required to restore to satisfactory operating condition.
  • Leads or directly operates and monitors critical and non-critical system equipment and components.
  • Oversees critical and non-critical work efforts (including 3rd party contractors) for the safe and compliant operation, maintenance (corrective and preventive), and modification of critical equipment.
  • Disables and enables fire alarm and suppression control panels and systems.
  • Provides training aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations staff, including, but not limited to, demonstrating the proper use and care of tools and instruments, giving hands on instruction in basic maintenance, safety, and trouble- shooting procedures, engineering courses for enrollment and instilling an overall level of professionalism in manner and appearance.
  • Supports implementation of the preventative maintenance program for his/her assigned shift. Specific duties include but are not limited to: scheduling of preventative maintenance with a minimum disruption of building services, performing and/or delegating preventative maintenance tasks to the appropriately qualified maintenance staff member, ordering parts and equipment required for repair, maintaining and installing new equipment and facilities, and maintaining inventory.
  • Receives and assigns work orders for Preventative and Corrective maintenance on critical systems and building physical structure. Consult with supervisors and staff as appropriate to identify and order necessary materials to complete all maintenance and perform necessary work.
  • Finalize work orders by insuring the completion of necessary documentation.
  • Performs Building Management System Console Operations.
  • Directs the performance of contracted maintenance work as needed. Specific tasks include but are not limited to: ensuring the timely performance of maintenance contract work, overseeing the fulfillment of equipment warranty obligations by the installer and securing equipment manuals and drawings from the installers/contractors.
  • Responds immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns.
  • Complies with Critical Facilities policies including those policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
  • Ensures the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies. Specific duties include, but not limited to: preparing and submitting purchase-order requests, developing sources for stock materials and performing periodic checks for supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and/or HVAC.
  • Universal CFC Certificate, Electrical License, HVAC license etc., to perform duties, as needed.
  • 5+ years related work experience, including directing work or lead experience.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Building Automation Systems.
  • Expertise in managing multiple requests, and problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate verbal/written communication skills.
  • Proven record of excellent internal customer service.

What is a Must Have?

  • Applicable license/permit for trade (e.g. Journeyman or Master/Electrician, City/State License) or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
