The HR Manager will lead our HR Business Partner team and oversee all aspects of employee relations, employee recognition, and HR process improvement across both manufacturing and corporate locations. The position plays a crucial role in driving HR excellence, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a positive workplace environment and engaging work environment across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Leadership and Team Management
- Manage and mentor the HR Business Partner team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide guidance and support to the team on complex HR issues, promoting professional growth and development.
- Act as the key escalation point for HR-related issues across all levels of the organization.
- Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, and Continuous Improvement
- Serve as the lead contact for all complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution efforts.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and addressing trends, challenges, and opportunities within the workforce.
- Manage and collaborate with leadership to drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Policy Development and Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with the organization’s goals and industry best practices.
- Stay up to date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
- Lead audits and updates of HR processes and documentation to mitigate legal and compliance risks.
- HR Documentation and Records Management
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and secure storage of all employee records in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Ensure all HR documentation, including employee handbooks, contracts, and forms, is accurate, up to date, and accessible as needed.
- Develop and manage processes for proper retention, archiving, and disposal of records in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Partner with legal team to address documentation needs for audits and investigations.
- Metrics and Reporting
- Manage HR metrics and dashboards to track workforce performance, employee engagement, turnover, and other critical HR indicators.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on HR data analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of HR activities and metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Exit Process Management
- Lead the exit interview program: analyze trends, prepare actionable insights, and drive initiatives to enhance retention and employee experience.
- Analyze exit data to identify trends and develop strategies to enhance retention and employee satisfaction.
- Strategic HR Initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives, including workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
- Lead HR’s contribution to digital transformation efforts and process automation.
- Accountable for language accessibility across all of our locations.
What You'll Bring
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in manufacturing or a related industry.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage and analyze HR metrics and provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.
- Experience in plastic injection molding or manufacturing.
