Responsibilities include:
Collaborates closely with Plant Leadership to ensure correct implementation of policies and procedures, addressing inquiries, complaints and other employee relation issues with consistency and integrity.
Implements manufacturing people metrics within the plant, proactivity monitoring and collaborating with the operations teams to identify and address gaps.
Recruit and retain top talent.
Oversees and conducts employee investigations within the plant, ensuring that all disciplinary issues are handled in a timely and effective manner. Assess the severity of each case and escalates significant concerns to the Vice President of Human Resources.
Fosters a positive and inclusive hourly and salary employee experience through proactive initiatives based on feedback through employee opinion surveys, suggestions, and open-door policies to boost engagement and address areas for improvement.
Develops a deep understanding of plant operations to make informed decisions, provide valuable consulting to plant leadership, and offer strategic guidance on HR matters aligned with business objectives.
Builds a strong relationship with key operations stakeholders.
Owns accountability for talent management responsibilities within the plant, including performance management, disciplinary action, terminations, recruitment, pay decisions, and other personnel actions.
Oversees interactions with local government agencies and coordinates charitable activities to support the plant’s community engagement efforts.
Primary plant process owner for payroll and benefits.
Provide support in other HR functional areas as necessary/required (i.e. worker’s compensation, safety/environmental health initiatives, training administration).
Supervise the HR support staff at the assigned Pennsylvania manufacturing facility.
Become a Workday expert.
Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S):
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
5+ years of related experience.
Knowledge and experience with federal, state and local labor laws.
