Job Summary: Restaurant Brands International is looking for a Sr Manager, Design to join our Firehouse Subs Design & Construction Team based in Jacksonville, FL. The Sr. Manager, Design leads the efforts on restaurant design, as well as franchisee & vendor support. This includes designing new restaurant prototypes, ensuring Firehouse brand standards are being upheld in every new and current Firehouse Subs. The Sr. Manager, Design will lead a team of design professionals, working both directly and indirectly with multiple other functions inside and outside of the development team, including construction; real estate; operations; technology; marketing; and finance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of designers within the Development team for the Firehouse Subs Brand
  • Collaborates with franchise partners and other stakeholders across the United States & Canada to find architecture, design and equipment solutions that are both customized and standardized
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to develop new restaurant prototypes for Firehouse
  • Responsible for developing new design standards to enhance digital sales and delivery service modes
  • Communicates and clarifies brand standards around image, design and equipment to architects, franchisees, developers, and other external parties
  • Works with franchise partners to analyze design aspects of potential markets, trade areas and sites
  • Responsible for reading and giving comments on architecture, engineering (including kitchen layout and equipment) and construction plans
  • Owns managing and delivering plan revisions to franchise partners and other relevant parties in a timely manner

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Architecture, Interior Design, and/or Construction
  • 5-7 years relevant architecture and / or design experience; QSR experience not a requirement but a plus
  • Ability to read and draw a full set of architectural plans
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Enscape, Sketchup, Adobe Suite
  • Demonstrates effective communication, influencing and organizational skills
  • Displays business acumen and problem-solving skills and understands the ways in which design and architecture impact other functions within the brand the business as a whole
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with brand leadership, franchisees, vendors, and other parties
  • Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for the success of the brand and the team
