Key responsibilities

We're hiring an experienced HSE Business Partner for our warehouse sites in Malaysia. You will be based mainly at our Shah Alam site, with the following key responsibilities:

  • Identify and Control Hazards: Support site teams in identifying HSE risks and applying the hierarchy of control to mitigate them.
  • Ensure Compliance: Facilitate adherence to APMM HSE standards and local legal requirements.
  • Promote HSE Leadership: Advise managers on leading HSE initiatives and sharing best practices.
  • Incident Management: Support root cause analysis and learning from high-potential incidents.
  • Third-Party Safety: Collaborate with departments to ensure HSE controls for external labor.
  • Safe Work Planning: Guide risk elimination through workplace design, equipment safety, and operational planning.
  • Engage Frontline Teams: Promote visual tools and communication methods to enhance workforce involvement.
  • Training Support: Provide guidance on HSE training and educational resources.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency response capabilities including first aid, fire safety, and evacuation.
  • Site Oversight: Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and liaise with external consultants as needed.

We’re looking for

  • 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, ideally within contract logistics, warehousing, or distribution center environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Malay.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and organizational levels.
  • Skilled in connecting with both global and local teams to foster strong working relationships.
  • Experienced in conducting HSE training sessions and delivering impactful presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI; capable of developing engaging training materials.
  • A university degree in Health & Safety, Security, Risk, Crisis Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
