Jacobs would like to welcome a Principal Engineer to work on climate-related coastal and water network works, based at our Singapore office. This role will work on a variety of coastal engineering projects specifically coastal structures, feasibility analysis, engineering designs and analyses, report preparation, managing permitting and stakeholders and construction engineering services; and support our linear infrastructure team to manage flood alleviation and drainage improvement projects.

Main responsibilities:

  • Working on coastal infrastructure, and drainage improvement projects from planning to design, and implementation phases of projects.
  • Developing focus client relationship management through the life cycle of projects; pursuing opportunities from first spark to award of contract, to successful project completion
  • Detailed discussions to scope out clients’ requirements and expectations through effective listening, summarizing, and questioning.
  • Identifying and securing follow-on opportunities through the quality and value of our engineering and client services.
  • Providing technical engineering consultancy services.
  • Together with the Project Manager, support the development of compelling proposals and presentations for engineering consultancy services.

Here's what you'll need

To be a successful candidate you shall possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer will be an added advantage.
  • At least 8 years of related experience in coastal-related projects.
  • Familiarity with all areas of coastal, maritime, and wider civil engineering practice and infrastructure development.
  • Prior experience in working with PUB (Public Utilities Board) will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in the feasibility, planning, investigations, modelling, design, and construction of coastal engineering projects.
