Description

The primary area of responsibility is to coordinate and organize IT Department operations to improve performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. The IT Operations Manager will oversee the operations team to perform critical IT functions related to tech support, permissions management, policy and procedure management, IT budgets, training, and new employee onboarding.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT Technical Support team and motivate staff to hit goals, be part of the culture, and provide excellent customer service. Staff management includes scheduling; assigning and directing work; orienting new employees; overseeing or conducting training; coaching; completing team responsibility for evaluating and appraising work; addressing complaints and resolving problems taking disciplinary action; and ensuring quality of work.
  • Manage onboarding of new IT staff, including setting up system access, establishing mentorships, and training on essential duties.
  • Maintain a company-wide permissions management solution to ensure adherence to compliance regulations.
  • Create and maintain training material and documentation related to IT Department needs, industry best practices, compliance requirements, etc. and present training sessions to the IT Department as needed.
  • Manage policy and procedures for the IT Department to ensure the documents are accurate and updated in accordance with internal and NCUA regulations.
  • Provide quarterly updates and reports to the Executive team regarding progress made by the IT Department.
  • Manage accounts for external auditors on applicable systems.
  • Oversee the annual budget projections and expenditures for the IT Department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or equivalent experience required. 3+ years of management/supervisor experience, 5+ years related field experience. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to communicate effectively with Executive Management and Credit Union personnel. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities with limited direction. Ability to always maintain confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.

Performance Standard:

Broad knowledge of Credit Union functions, practices, policies, and procedures. Demonstrate ability to effectively manage relationships and provide excellent customer service. Ability to work without supervision. Demonstrate a cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
