This position reports to Karen Tobey, HPM Customer Service Manager
PTO scheduling is tightly managed due to the transactional nature of the position and inability to postpone work within the department.
This position requires working 8 hours each day Monday through Friday, which may be in addition to unplanned overtime. The actual start time will be determined by the employee and manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all tasks for assigned customers of coordinating and processing orders, pricing and shipment verification, product availability, and customer service activities
Edit orders to ensure accuracy in price brackets, price lists, and contract applications. Seek manager input for price verification if discrepancy is found
Oversee a variety of customers, including complex buying groups, and escalate questions to manager as necessary
Ensure timely communication and follow-through with customers, sales team, plants, distribution centers, and transportation
Maintain and ensure timely updates of customer account profile information and required document retention files
Work with internal and external customers as issues arise
Gather and track order details and research discrepancies
PTO coverage for teammates
Other related administrative duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required -
Customer service experience, including sales order processing and customer care
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to initiate appropriate action independently
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel
Demonstrated ability to execute detailed work independently and accurately
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
Preferred -
5 or more years of related experience
Knowledge of or experience with Oracle, Hormel Mainframe, AS400
General knowledge of accounting, logistics, and foodservice industry
