About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Mechanical Parts Inventory Clerk to join our Maintenance team in Alma. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance department by managing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and supporting technicians with the parts they need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cycle Counting: Perform regular counts of spare parts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Work Order Management: Enter data into work orders, including time and personnel, and maintain organized filing for audits and reviews.
  • Parts Issuance: Distribute parts to technicians and supervisors, and complete pick tickets for planned maintenance.
  • Receiving Shipments: Verify incoming shipments, store parts appropriately, and submit packing slips for system entry.
  • Waste Storage Inspection: Conduct daily inspections of industrial waste storage to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Emergency Part Retrieval: Drive company provided vehicle to pick up critical parts during downtime situations.
  • Closing work orders in EAM
  • Booking Labor hours to work orders
  • Generating KPI reports

Working Conditions

  • Extended periods of standing
  • Forklift operation and long-distance driving
  • Lifting and handling industrial materials
  • Exposure to outdoor elements and industrial waste
  • PPE required - hard hat, hearing protection, and safety toe boots

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Valid KS Driver License is required
  • Able to or willing to learn to operate forklifts
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments
  • Prior experience in inventory or maintenance support is a plus
