Estimated annual base pay: $126,000.00(minimum) - $157,500.00(midpoint) - $189,000.00(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Continuous Improvement Manager or looking to become one, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position reports to the Vice President or a Director. The purpose is to provide leadership with a Lean/Six Sigma focus resulting in the deployment of proven CI methods and tools resulting in measurable and sustained improvement of SQDC across various business processes (e.g. PLC process, Woodward Lean Enterprise System (WLES), product quality or supplier quality) within several value streams.
What You Will Be Doing
Creates vision and architects the lean roadmap for an entire segment of the business.
Drives a strategic mindset and commitment to continuous improvement across the operation (i.e. defines improvement goals, establishes accountability through SQDC metrics, uses Lean/Six Sigma tools and techniques to continually improve processes and business results, and establishes a mindset within operations to document and control processes; promotes safety and housekeeping; uses facilitative leadership). Cooperative development of Lean Strategies across the CoEs, between business segments, with suppliers and with other functional areas (e.g. Production Engineering, Development Engineering, and Manufacturing)
Improves processes throughout the CoE or business segment. (This may include product manufacturing/assembly, product testing, shipping and delivery of finished goods, and transactional activities). Utilizes the department to support the various processes within the CoE. This may include the development of new products derived from the PLC (Product Life Cycle) process.
Accountable for paradigm shifts for “game changing” process improvement implementations.
Provide leadership to direct reports (or have dotted line relationship) by leading, managing, supporting and coaching members ensuring continual development of competencies.
Develop and maintain an appropriate organization structure to support the process improvement function that is aligned with the business segment, CoE and Company alignment grids, strategies, T-MAP, etc.
Plan and manage resources to profit plan and capital plan.
Influence and drive other CI organizations across Woodward in the alignment of the CI, Lean/Six Sigma philosophies and methodologies and overarching best practices that is impactful and current with "Best in Class" industry practices.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelors' Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Management/Technical Field required, Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) preferred.
Professional experience in a manufacturing environment or a branch of the military required.
Demonstrated success in implementing Lean/Six Sigma required.
Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Green Belt Certification/Black Belt Certification Current or obtained required within 1 year of coming into the role.
Up to 20% domestic and international travel.
