Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university.
- Valid Texas administrator’s certificate.
- Five years of experience as a principal in public schools.
- Five years administrative or supervisory experience at the district level.
- Exemplifies instructional leadership, personal scholarship, a collaborative leadership style, personal integrity, strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills; and
- Visionary leader in public schools to work collaboratively with district leadership, principals, and community members to support the preparation of learners for the 21st
Terms of Employment:
Probationary/Term Contract: 250 days
Salary:
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2025-2026.
Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support for principals.
- Supervise and evaluate principals.
- Lead the selection process for principals.
- Provide leadership and support for the district’s leadership development initiatives including the coaching and mentoring programs for new principals.
- Provide leadership and support to the guidance and counseling, health services, professional learning, and school leadership departments.
- Process concerns expressed by parents, patrons, and personnel.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Cabinet in managing and leading the district and making recommendations to the superintendent.
- Review and recommend to the superintendent appropriate policies, administrative regulations, and administrative practices.
- Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local Board policy in the areas assigned.
- Recruit, train, and supervise department staff and make sound recommendations relative to placement, assignment, retention, discipline, and termination.
- Ensure the department operations contribute to the attainment of the district goals and objectives.
- Analyze budget and staffing needs for the departments assigned and ensure funds are managed effectively.
- Attend campus and district events.
- Manage professional learning opportunities for department staff to enhance the effectiveness of department operations.
- Enhance communication and collaboration with other central office administrators.
