About PwC ETIC - Egypt Technology and Innovation Centre
PwC opened a new Technology & Innovation Center in Cairo that delivers high quality technology solutions to consulting Clients across the globe. The Centre provides a broad suite of skills and services to our clients, ranging from Packaged Applications such as SAP & Oracle, to Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Custom Development and Cloud services utilising AWS, Azure and Google, as well as expanding our existing Managed Services capabilities.
The centre is looking to expand rapidly and we are looking for enthusiastic self-starters with a passion for technology and client delivery to help shape and form this new venture
A brief summary of the role
The Senior Associate Service Designer is responsible for crafting and enhancing the user experience across our services. This role involves working collaboratively with various teams to understand user requirements and design solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking, creativity, and technical expertise to deliver impactful service solutions
Key Responsibilities/ Activities

1. Service Design and Development:
Lead the design and development of service solutions from concept to implementation.
Utilize design thinking methodologies to facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with stakeholders and users.
2. Research and Analysis:
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
Analyze research findings to develop insights and identify opportunities for service improvement.
3. Prototyping and Testing:
Create prototypes and service blueprints to visualize and test service concepts.
Conduct usability tests and gather feedback to iterate and refine service designs.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with product managers, UX designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of service design.
Communicate service design concepts and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
5. Continuous Improvement:
Monitor service performance and user feedback to identify areas for ongoing improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to incorporate innovative approaches into service design.

Familiarity with design thinking tools and methods, such as user journey mapping and empathy mapping, and ability to use them effectively in projects.
Ideation The ability to generate a wide range of ideas and potential solutions. Ideation encourages creativity and free-thinking, often through brainstorming sessions and collaborative workshops.Must HaveIntermediateAbility to generate a wide range of ideas and solutions independently and in a team setting and can lead brainstorming sessions and encourage participation with support.
Proficient in using ideation tools and techniques such as mind mapping, sketching, and collaborative digital tools.
Testing The skill of evaluating prototypes and solutions through user feedback and observation. Testing is crucial for understanding how users interact with a design and identifying areas for improvement.Must HaveIntermediateAbility to design and conduct usability tests and gather user feedback. Can analyze results to identify strengths and weaknesses in a design.
Understands how to iterate on designs based on test results and user feedback, making informed decisions for improvements.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate testing results into design processes.
Collaboration and Communication Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels of seniorityMust HaveIntermediateAbility to communicate design concepts and ideas clearly to diverse audiences, including non-designers and stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and is able to mediate and resolve conflicts with support.

Prototyping Creating tangible representations of ideas to explore their feasibility and gather feedback. Prototyping allows designers to test concepts in real-world scenarios and refine them based on user interaMust HaveIntermediateProficient in using prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) to create mid-fidelity prototypes.
Ability to design prototypes that are sufficiently detailed to test specific assumptions and gather user feedback.
Ability to incorporate feedback into prototypes to refine and improve design solutions iteratively.
Qualifications Required
Foundational Service Design training or certification is a plus
Excellent English language proficiency
Product Management experience with the above mentioned skillset
