Job Description

  • Challenge yourself to manage key lounge development projects and programs
  • 24-month contract role based at our Qantas Campus in Mascot

The Project Manager, Lounge Development plays a critical role in shaping Qantas’ premium lounge experiences by driving the strategic planning and operational readiness for new lounge programs across our network. Focusing on the early-stage planning and pre-opening execution, your role is to ensure every new lounge is set up for operational success. Managing multiple programs at once, you will establish governance forums and define program requirements before handing over to our dedicated Property Development team for the build phase. Prior to the official lounge opening, you will re-engage to lead cross-functional readiness activities including system and people process design, service delivery planning, training, commercial agreements, and internal and external communications.

You'll have:

  • Significant project management experience for operational teams
  • Proven experience delivering complex, high-profile customer centred projects
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully tailoring and executing operational readiness activities
  • Strong understanding of project delivery and program governance frameworks
  • Experience managing budgets exceeding $5M and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills to effectively work with contractors, consultants and internal teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of efficient budget management
