Position Summary

The Manager of Compensation is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals and ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance. This role will aid in compensation planning, job evaluation, salary structure development, and incentive program design, while providing expert guidance to HR partners and business leaders.

This role will be based in Nashville, TN at the Bridgestone Headquarters in office 3 days a week (Tu-Th).

Responsibilities

  • Manage base pay structures, incentive plans, and other compensation programs for their respective businesses.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
  • Participate in the annual compensation review process.
  • Evaluate new and existing positions using job evaluation methodologies.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to provide compensation guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Prepare compensation-related reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Manage compensation survey participation and analyze results to inform strategy.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects related to compensation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; 6 y+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience Or Master's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience.
  • Solid understanding of compensation strategies - Sales, executive, hourly etc.
  • Experience with job evaluation and reorg compensation, market data and project based work.
