Duration: 12 months

Duties:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning, developing, and implementing schedule and cost strategies for mega projects with complex, multi-disciplinary scopes. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills and a deep understanding of project management principles to ensure milestones are achieved efficiently and effectively.

The Project Controls Professional III will:

  • Support project monitoring, risk identification, and cost accuracy across project phases
  • Coordinate, track, and execute project schedules and estimates
  • Provide direction and technical guidance to project managers in developing project scopes, detailed schedules, and cost estimates
  • Perform schedule and cost control analyses, report variances, and offer recovery plans
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to compile data for accurate forecasting and resource planning
  • Prepare and manage detailed level 1-5 implementation schedules using Primavera P6
  • Integrate cost and schedule data to develop logic-tied, resource-loaded projections
  • Evaluate real-time project performance and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks
  • Support consistent data entry and configuration control across databases and reporting tools
  • Conduct project reviews and lessons learned exercises to foster continuous improvement
  • Attend project meetings and maintain alignment with organizational standards and procedures

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology
  • Proficient in Primavera P6
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and data validation capabilities
  • Excellent time management, organization, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
  • Detail-oriented with strong administrative and planning abilities

Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of project controls/project management experience in an industrial setting
  • OR Associate degree and 9 years of relevant experience
  • OR High school diploma or GED and 11 years of relevant experience
  • Formal training in Primavera P6 or another project management system

Desired:

  • Earned Value Management Certification (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP)
  • Experience in the nuclear, renewable energy, or construction industries
  • Experience managing projects with budgets of $25M or more
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday, or Workday Adaptive Planning
  • Background in process improvement and general accounting principles

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Acceptable substitutes include Associate degree or High School diploma/GED with corresponding experience

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $78.00/hour to $105.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.

  • Per Diem May Be Negotiable
  • Part Time to Full Time
  • Remote Work is Not Available at Start; May Be Considered After 3–6 Months Based on Performance and Team Fit
