As a Sr. Program Risk Manager, you will support the program management teams within a broad range of responsibilities. The Risk Manager is responsible for collaborating, communicating, and working cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and other support functions, building and maintaining strong relationships, to effectively manage and sustain the risk and opportunity posture of multiple programs within the business area.

You will lead risk and opportunity management efforts from a cross-functional perspective, including but not limited to: defining processes for program execution, establishing and executing process cadences, lead internal and external program management reviews, engage with external stakeholders to integrate and communicate business positions, and provide leadership awareness of current state of the program. From a business perspective, you will be the focal for process and tool enhancements relative to risk and opportunity management. Within this role, you'll report to the Sr. Director of Integrated Program Management.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic, highly driven, and solution-focused individual with a comprehensive understanding of the risk management process, capable of working effectively with internal and external partners at all levels.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

Using information measurement and data aggregation, the Risk Manager acts as an intermediary with program teams to provide essential risk management data and solutions, enabling key risk identification, facilitating data reporting, and identifying potential opportunities for financial savings or business risk mitigation.

The Risk Manager plays a crucial role in supporting SNC’s risk management process by leading risk management efforts for multiple programs within the organization. This includes conducting detailed risk interviews and serving as the intermediary between subject matter experts and the tools and processes used for executing risk management. The risk manager is the primary interface to external program counterparts and leads both internal and external joint reviews of the program’s overall risk position. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding and integrating schedule risk analysis and risk integration processes into Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs).

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree can substitute for 1 year of experience at the hiring manager's discretion.
• Typically 10+ years of progressive experience in project or program management.
• Typically 5+ years leading large-scale projects with multi-year scope and teams of 10+ cross-functional members.
• Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, and program management disciplines.
• Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
• Experience as a system administrator for an automated risk analysis tool including advanced troubleshooting and administration. The ideal candidate will have experience with Riskonnect.
• Experience performing risk assessments, including identifying, analyzing, and controlling current and potential financial, technical, and legal risks and opportunities.
• Experience presenting risk positions to internal and external leadership to establish the program's risk tolerance.
• Experience developing risk management controls and systems and completing risk management meetings/boards.
• Experience escalating from the watch list to the risk register for approval and presenting risk postures in internal and external Program Management reviews.
• Producing advanced analytical material for cross-functional team discussions on program risks.
• Experience conducting risk interviews with program team members to manage risks and responses throughout the program lifecycle.
• Experience completing detailed risk analysis, including Monte Carlo cost and schedule analysis, and delivering insights to program teams.
• Experience serving as the primary point of contact between subject matter experts and the risk management process.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (will not be considered in lieu of required experience)
• Provide risk management guidance and support to program teams, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement management plans.
• Formulate and recommend corrective actions and problem-solving strategies to senior managers and risk experts.
• Evaluate and design renewal and risk strategies optimizing risk/reward tradeoffs.
• Experience with continuous improvement risk management processes and tools.
• Maintain and report on performance trends and risk information, providing insights into results drivers.
• Collaborate with internal business partners and stakeholders to evaluate and improve practices.
• Experience with the development and execution of detailed program-specific risk management plans.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to make fiscally responsible decisions.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $165,010.21 - $226,889.04. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
