Who are we looking for?

Our West region and is looking for an Architect to join the team! In this role, you will assist with the design, evaluation and implementation of new buildings and building alterations for municipal and industrial clients. You will cooperate and work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, regional leads across the West, North America and GHD’s global network.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Coordinates design details with production team; participates in document production, specifications, and construction administration.
• Responsibility for design refinement of aspects of project, including team leadership.
• Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects.
• Supports Project Designer or Project Manager on developing design concepts and solutions.
• Liaises with Project Management, other architects, and consultants.
• Serves as SME on specialized systems.

What you will bring to the Team:

• Proactive listener
• Time efficient self-starter; enjoys fast paced project work.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Building systems, detailing and technology
  • Applicable codes, regulations, and standards
  • Design solution development
  • Differing building types and project delivery methods
  • Programming and planning methods
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
• Working knowledge with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation techniques

Qualifications:

• Authorized to work legally in the United States without restrictions.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from a NAAB accredited program
• 10+ years post graduate progressive experience in the field of architecture including substantial experience in developing details, planning and design support for design development.
• LEED Accreditation a plus

Salary Range: $113,000-$170,000 based on experience.
