In this role the goal of this position is to develop and implement quality control systems and standards for the RDA/Metrology department. You will develop monitors and analyze quality performance metrics, direct and coordinate the RDA quality control program and establish new BKMs and guidelines for the RDA/metrology group. As a quality engineer you will also learn to conduct audits, create audit reports, and recommend improvements. The quality group is also in charge of excursion mitigation, FEMA, sampling strategies for both RDA and Metrology.

The Quality group will coordinate with overseas manufacturing facilities for alignment, transfer technology to HVM and ensure RDA has inline insight to defects to prevent excursion meeting global standards. We need engineers who are passionate about developing their team and delivering solutions to our internal customers. As a RDA quality engineer, your innovation will have the ability to impact the team globally.

Responsibilities:

• Define cycle time target for new DID and come up with projections for Metrology and RDA
• Conduct FEMA and change triggers from FCM/QnR to trigger on SOCR/GCP
• Setup RDA Attribute sampling as baseline sampling, ensure SFF exclusion for RDA Attribute
• Audit (AQC)/SPC maintenance/WaR system (Wafer at Risk)
• Build and improve upon detection techniques and identify WaR for smart sampling fine tuning the business process for RDA reaction mechanisms
• Develop clear metrics for program health and communicate in an effective manor to set program priorities.
• Develop roadmaps to drive our internal and external partners enabling a clear path to future advanced memory needs
• Analyzing process flows looking for defect anomalies and quarantining process tools that are out of control.
• Build an environment of continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor, looking for ways to improve operations, and how to make a difference today!
• We expect active participation in technical meetings and then synthesize from it new opportunities or novel approaches
• Collaborate with the global network to develop best known methods and maintain alignment between sites

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2+ year experience working within the RDA, HVM or TD teams or relevant working experience in a 300mm semiconductor environment
• Minimum 2 year of experience in semiconductor fabrication process area, including tool sets, process mechanism, etc.
• Onboarding training includes a 4+ month training period in Taiwan, followed by a full-time position in Boise, Idaho

Preferred Qualifications

• We desire someone ready to learn and apply basic Data Science and Data Manipulation (scripting, coding, or programming)
• Proactive and passionate about learning (training and coursework)
• We need an engineer drawn to creative problem solving and innovative solutions
• We need someone who is willing to investigate process anomalies, root cause analysis, data manipulation, and correlations
• Needs ability to innovate and drive effective change in an energizing environment
• Demonstrated combination of flexibility and tenacity in the pursuit of goals
• Excellent technical, communication, and analytical skills
• Preference for experience with metrology/RDA inspection related processing.
