1. Operational Safety:

  • Ensure a safe work environment, actively seeking to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Actively participate in internal safety audits, always seeking full compliance with standards.
  • Review and approve safety procedures for specific tasks within the logistics area.
  • Participate in meetings dedicated to improving the safety of pedestrians and moving vehicles (such as forklifts) within work areas.
  • Investigate safety incidents to identify their root causes and prevent their recurrence.

2. Process and Compliance Management:

  • Ensure high accuracy and timeliness in shipping documentation avoiding discrepancies in quantities or information.
  • Validate and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations.
  • Implement and manage a structured daily operating system, including coordinating start-up and end-of-shift revisions.
  • Participate in internal audits to verify that process controls are being correctly applied.
  • Ensure compliance with the cleaning plan for returnable containers or packaging.
  • Ensure that standard procedures for receiving & shipping materials are correctly followed.
  • Coordinate daily team meetings for operational alignment and performance reviews.
  • Maintain the accuracy of inventory locations in the warehouse (location integrity).
  • Ensure daily schedules for shipping and receiving materials are followed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to the production line to avoid downtime.

3. Continuous Improvement and Optimization:

  • Actively seek and implement improvements in internal logistics operations.
  • Evaluate continuous improvement initiatives and suggestions (Kaizen).
  • Optimize logistics operations to minimize unplanned overtime.
  • Identify and report potentially critical parts (based on data from ERP system).

4. Team Management and Development:

  • Validate and maintain up to date training records and staff skills (versatility matrix).
  • Develop and implement training plans for logistics staff as needed. Plan and schedule logistics staffing requirements during periods of production shutdown.
  • Schedule and manage massive staff shift changes.
  • Manage time-off (vacations) requests and staff scheduling using designated systems.
  • Facilitate the communication of information from the Human Resources department to operational staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance periodically

5. Interdepartmental Relations and Assets:

  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with union representatives.
  • Monitor compliance with the production plan and the status of finished goods in quarantine.
  • Monitor and provide consultation or support related to the production plan.
  • Coordinate and monitor the maintenance plan for industrial vehicles (such as forklifts) with the Plant Engineering department.
  • Ensure that warehouse equipment and facilities are maintained in good condition.
  • Coordinate and share personnel transportation plans with relevant internal departments.
