As an “Relocation Specialist” you will:
Position RAA (High level responsibilities):
- Provide expert-level U.S. immigration case support in coordination with internal counsel and external vendors, including preparation, review, and tracking of filings across H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-3, and green card categories.
- Support cross-border immigration matters in the Americas region, assisting with documentation and compliance needs for international assignments and local work authorization processes.
- Collaborate closely with recruiters, hiring managers, HR business partners, and global mobility teams to facilitate end-to-end immigration case workflows.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and case escalations; ensure a high level of responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Maintain strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, procedures, and agency practices; monitor updates and contribute to internal guidance and compliance tools.
- Support business travel screening processes and compliance tracking across the Americas.
- Coordinate with outside counsel and immigration vendors on case strategy, timelines, documentation requests, and status updates.
- Assist with internal audits, government inquiries, and the maintenance of immigration compliance documentation, including public access files and I-9 records.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, data integrity projects, and policy documentation updates.
- Collaborate with regional HR and legal stakeholders to support consistent compliance practices in the Americas.
Representative Major Tasks performed with occasional direction and guidance:
- Act as client’s primary subject matter expert on U.S. immigration law and processes, with support across assigned business units and the broader Americas region.
- Provide expert-level consultation to business planning teams and process partners, contributing to workforce strategy and program execution in both commercial and defence sectors.
- Design and lead complex immigration strategies that align with program timelines, operational needs, and legal compliance requirements.
- Independently guide employees, managers, and stakeholders through immigration processes with a focus on proactive engagement, clear communication, and business enablement.
- Oversee and advise on business travel screening processes, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Serve as lead or contributor on immigration-related projects, initiatives, and working groups; provide deep subject matter expertise on evolving policy, risk, and compliance considerations.
- Deliver education and internal training to HR, talent acquisition, and business leaders on U.S. immigration.
- Manage relationships with external immigration counsel and service providers; provide guidance to vendors on client-specific requirements and monitor service quality against defined SLAs and KPIs.
- Investigate and resolve case escalations and systemic vendor performance issues, partnering with internal leads to drive accountability and service improvements.
- Collaborate with regional HR teams (e.g., HRG, HRS, HRBPs) to align immigration strategy with local business needs and global talent objectives.
- Coordinate with client’s internal functions—including legal, tax, global mobility, government affairs, and others—to ensure integrated, compliant immigration support across domains.
- Represent client before U.S. government agencies and authorities when necessary; support audits, site visits, and regulatory reviews (e.g., DOL, USCIS, CBP, U.S. consulates, Ministry of Defence).
- Identify gaps in current immigration services and compliance frameworks; recommend improvements to policies, processes, systems, and stakeholder communications.

Technical Competencies (Role-Specific)
- Deep familiarity with employment-based U.S. immigration processes, including:
- H-1B (initial, extensions, amendments)
- L-1A/L-1B, O-1, TN, E-3
- PERM Labor Certification, I-140, I-485, and consular processing
- DOL, USCIS, and DOS procedural compliance
- I-9 and E-Verify documentation and audits
- Experience working with immigration case management platforms (e.g., LawLogix, INSZoom, Tracker, etc.).
- Exposure to cross-border immigration workflows in Canada, Mexico, and Latin America.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining precision and timeliness.

- Consultative Influence: Builds credibility with stakeholders across business, HR, and legal teams. Provides clear, actionable advice and positions immigration solutions in a business-aligned context.
Required Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience in U.S. business immigration, with proven ability to handle complex cases independently.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in-house at a large corporation or within a leading immigration law firm.
- Strong understanding of immigration compliance principles and corporate operational needs.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience supporting or interfacing with government agencies (e.g., USCIS, DOL, CBP, DOS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification (preferred but not required with equivalent experience).
- Prior experience supporting immigration needs in regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, or technology.
- Multilingual capability (Spanish or Portuguese preferred) to support regional coordination in the Americas.
- Experience supporting audit responses and vendor governance processes

Pay Range*: Between $65 to $68 per hour
